• With the available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System), when a vehicle is detected entering the blind spot zone, an indicator light illuminates in the outside mirror corresponding to the side from which the vehicle is approaching. The Cross Traffic Alert feature uses the blind spot monitoring sensors to audibly and visually alert you to another vehicle approaching from either side while you are slowly backing out of a driveway or parking spot.
• Available Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start is ultra-convenient and a step ahead - just like Edge. You can enter Edge without getting out your keys. With the key fob in your pocket or somewhere on your person, you can unlock the door. Once inside, and the key fob still with you, simply press the brake pedal and then push the start button. Edge starts and you're ready to go.
• Activate available Adaptive Cruise Control and it functions just like normal cruise control - with one exception. When its sensors detect traffic slowing immediately ahead of you based on your preset distance, your vehicle also slows down. When its sensors detect traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes the set speed. Collision Warning with Brake Support helps in case an accident appears imminent. This function will alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A "heads-up" display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield and emits and audible alert. If you don't react and a collision is imminent, the brakes will precharge and increase brake assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake.
• The Sony® Audio System includes Sony DSP processing, 390 watts of power, and 12 Sony speakers including rear subwoofer. It comes with a single disc CD player and is, of course, MP3-capable. The system also comes with HD Radio™ technology, the digital evolution of analog AM/FM radio used by AM and FM radio stations to transmit digital audio and data along with their analog signals. The digital broadcast delivers crystal clear audio with no static or distortion and has the capability of high-quality sound (FM quality on AM; CD quality on FM). • With the available industry-first MyFord Touch™ uses intuitive, easy-to-use touch controls and voice commands that allow you to control your vehicle's systems as you drive. It combines two five-way switch pads on the steering wheel with three LCD displays - two in the instrument cluster, and one in the center stack. MyFord Touch™ features an eight-inch touch-screen display in the center stack. The customizable displays let you decide what you see on your vehicle's instrument panel. And the controls are so natural - much like a mobile phone interface - using them feels instantly familiar.
• The available Navigation System with integrated SIRIUS Traffic™ and Travel Link™ helps get you to where you're going more easily and keeps you informed. Continually updated weather and traffic information - including traffic delays and alternate route suggestions - are available instantly.
